The cropmark traces of an incomplete ring ditch of uncertain date with a diameter of 7m which was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. This is one of two adjacent ring ditches seen 18m apart within the same field which could be hut circles or the remains of small barrows.

Full Description

The cropmark traces of an incomplete ring ditch of uncertain date with a diameter of 7m seen at TQ 8189 7605. tThis ring ditch has a broad ditch (1m-1.3m across and is open to the south and has a smaller interruption to the west. It is not clear if these are true gaps in the ditch or failures of the cropmark. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. This is one of two adjacent ring ditches seen 18m apart within the same field which could be hut circles or the remains of small barrows. To the east of these two ring ditches are the cropmark remains of two small square pits. The second ring ditch and the pits are recorded separately as NMR Monument records: 1537615 and 1537621. (1)
