Full Description
A Rectilinear Enclosure of Uncertain date (possible Iron Age or Roman) was visible as a cropmark in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 21-APR-2007. The site appears asrectangular ditched enclosure 40m x 47m with angled corners and straight sides. It lies within the complex cropmark remains of a WW2 defended area of trenches and gun emplacements. The SE corner is obscured by the cropmarks of a large pit. The site was mapped mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. (1)
