A defended locality of Second World War date was seen as structures and earthworks in RAF/HLA/564 V 6029 01-JUN-1942, RAF/HLA/386 V 959 02-JAN-1942 and RAF/HLA/380 V 967 15-DEC-1941. The site comprised an arragement of revetted slit trenches and earthwork gun emplacements, partially enclosed by a ditch and bank and fully surrounded by a complex barbed wire entanglement.

These features were removed during the construction of RAF Manston's crash runway in 1943-44. They were recorded as levelled earthworks/demolished structures in Next Perspectives APGB 14-APR-2015 and were mapped as part of the Historic England Ramsgate HAZ/Isle of Thanet projects in 2024. (1-4)
