Full Description
Fifteen air raid shelters of Second World War date were visible as earthworks in RAF/HLA/407 V 78 28-FEB-1942. They were grouped in two rows either side of former First World War hangars and workshops on the north-west side of the station. At least two of the shelters had revetted slit trenches leading into their entranceways. They were recorded as levelled earthworks in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021 and were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
