Full Description

An air raid shelter of Second World War date was visible as earthworks in RAF/HLA/564 V 6020 01-JUN-1942. It was situated towards the northern end of RAF Manston's 'War Flight' area on the north side of the airfield. It was recorded as a levelled earthwork in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021 and was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
