A pillbox of Second World War date was visible as a structure in RAF/HLA/564 V 6012 01-JUN-1942. It stood to the north of the former First World War semi-sunken hangar at Cheeseman's Farm that had been adapted for later military use (MKE92407, MKE125421). It was partially enclosed by a barbed wire entanglement forming part of the defences of the north-west flank of RAF Manston. It was recorded as a demolished structure in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
