A short length of slit trench was positioned immediately to their south-east, although it had been infilled by the time of this photography. They formed part of the defences on RAF Manston's north-west flank. They were recorded as levelled earthworks/demolished structures in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
