Full Description

An Officer's Quarters of 20th century date was seen as a structure in RAF/HLA/407 V 78 28-FEB-1942. It was described as 'Officer's Married Quarters (Bungalow)' on a plan of RAF Manston dated 7 April 1930 (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference MFC/78/24/0883) and as 'RAF Station Commander' on a mid-20th century plan (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference X004/2380). The bungalow was possibly built in 1921. It was recorded as a demolished building in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-3)
