Full Description
A Sergeants' Mess of 20th century date was seen as structures in RAF/HLA/407 V 78 28-FEB-1942. The main building was originally caled Pouces. The house was described as 'Commanding Officer's House' on a plan of RAF Manston dated 7 April 1930 (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference MFC/78/24/0883) but had become 'Sergeants' mess' on a mid-20th century plan (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference X004/2380). The buildings were recorded as a demolished buildings in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
