Full Description
A building platform of 20th century date was seen as a structure in RAF/HLA/564 V 6013 01-JUN-1942. It had formed the base for a hangar that was recorded on a plan of RAF Manston dated 7 April 1930 (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference MFC/78/24/0883). A published photograph shows that the hangar was a side-opening Admiralty pattern. The superstructure was probably destroyed by enemy action in 1940. The building platform was recorded as a demolished structure in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-3)
