Full Description
A ribbon development Village along Monkton Street, from Monkton Court in the West to Hoo Corner in the East.
On the western edge of the settlement stands the 13th century, St Mary Magdalene Church and Vicarage. Within the grounds of the there is the village Stocks.
To the East and South lies the ground of Monkton Court, C15 rebuilt C18 and C19.
West of Millers Lane stands the Royal Exchange (C16), formerly an inn until 1876 and also a staging post for horse-drawn coaches.
West of Willetts Hill and North of Monkton Street are The Parsonage (C16) and Vicarage (C19). The Parsonage stands in on a large plot of land with multiple out buildings.<1> <2>
