Storage buildings of 20th century date were seen as structures in RAF/HLA/564 V 6013 01-JUN-1942. The two storage buildings were described as 'Store' and 'Dry and Victualling Store' on a plan of RAF Manston dated 7 April 1930 (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference MFC/78/24/0883). By the time of a mid-20th century plan (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference X004/2380) they were described as 'RAF Mess Storage' and 'Finance and NAFFI Stores'.

They were recorded as structures in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
