Full Description
A rectangular settlement Enclosure of Iron Age/Roman date was visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs: NMR 2602/0207 24-APR-1985. The enclosure is ditch-defined, measuring 50m x 54m with internal sub-divisions and pits, and further fragments of extenal ditches on the extending north from the NW corner and to the west from the SW corner. Three corners are visible, one is angular, the other two slightly curved. This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.(1)
