Full Description

Cropmarks of a ring ditch, probably a Bronze Age barrow, one of a line of three identified from aerial photographs:NMR 2134/1105 26-APR-1983 mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. These barrows are arranged in a NW-SE line set between 13m and 14m apart. This is the central of the group of barrows and has a diameter of 21.5m. In the centre of the ring ditch are the cropmarks of 9 probable Anglo-Saxon graves, possibly inserted into the barrow mound when it was still extant. These are recorded separately. (1)
