A row of seven hard standings of Second World War date were seen as structures in RAF/HLA/564 V 6013 01-JUN-1942. Their purpose is unclear. Features are not recorded in these positions on a plan of RAF Manston dated 7 April 1930 (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference MFC/78/24/0883) or a later mid-20th century plan (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference X004/2380).
