Full Description

A partially revetted slit trench of Second World War date was visible as an earthwork in RAF/HLA/407 V 78 28-FEB-1942. Two parts of the complex slit trench provided access to nearby air raid shelters. It formed part of defences on the north-west flank of RAF Manston.

It was recorded as a levelled earthwork on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
