A hangar and hard standing of 20th century date were seen as structures in RAF/HLA/407 V 78 28-FEB-1942. In a published photograph, the twin side-opening hangar appears to have been a type of Admiralty shed. Its hard standing is situated to the south-west side. It served No 3 Technical Training School (established from 1920).

It was described as 'Erecting Shops' on a plan of RAF Manston dated 7 April 1930 (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference MFC/78/24/0883). By the time of a mid-20th century plan (RAF Museum, Hendon, reference X004/2380) it had been demolished.

It was recorded as a demolished building/demolished structure in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-3)
