Full Description

A Second World War slit trench probably used as an air raid shelter visible as an earthwork on RAF/26J/BR194 VC 11 10-JAN-1941 in open ground between gardens of the houses on St james Park Road and Canterbury Road, Westbrook. This is later noted to have been levelled and built on with houses lining Canterbury Road in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 21-APR-2007. This was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.(1-2)
