Full Description

A rectilinear Iron Age or Roman enclosure, visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs: NMR 2176/051 03-AUG-1984. The enclosure measures has one complete and two incomplete sides and and three corners visible. The enclosure measures 34m x 35.5m. A short length of inner parallel ditch is also visible within the SW side of the enclosure. This site has been mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. This enclosure appears to cut into the western side of a second more curvilinear and possibly earlier enclosure- TR 36 NW 445 . This is recorded separately (1)
