A pillbox forming part of a defended locality of Second World War date was visible as a structure in RAF/HLA/564 V 6010 01-JUN-1942. It stood in relation to a barbed wire entanglement enclosing Cleve Court, forming part of defences on the western flank of RAF Manston.

The feature was recorded as a demolished structure in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
