The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheep fold known as Wilfords's Pounds which was recorded on historic Ordnance Survey maps (1st epoch (1879)). The pound was located in the Grain Marshes on a small creek which branched off to the south of the Yantlet Creek, but had been cut off by the construction of a counter Wall. This was site was recorded during the course of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description
The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheep fold known as Wilfords's Pounds located at TQ8698 7674 which was recorded on historic Ordnance Survey maps (1st epoch (1879)). The pound was located in the Grain Marshes on a small creek which branched off to the south of the Yantlet Creek, but had been cut off by the construction of a counter Wall. This was site was recorded during the course of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
