Summary
The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheep fold known as Wilfords's Pounds which was recorded on historic Ordnance Survey maps (1st epoch (1879)). The pound was located in the Grain Marshes on a small creek which branched off to the south of the Yantlet Creek, but had been cut off by the construction of a counter Wall. This was site was recorded during the course of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
