Full Description

A possible long barrow of Neolithic date was visible as a cropmark in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015. Two possible quarry ditches were visible in the imagery. These parallel east/west oriented ditches measured about 26.8m long and were positioned about 13.4m apart. The ditches were mapped in four fragments where the cropmark was interrupted by tractor 'tramlines' in the crop. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
