Full Description
Cropmarks of three dispersed pits visible on the aerial photographs: NMR 2116/0096 01-JUN-1982. This has been mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. At least one of these pits has been mapped as part of the RCHME Kent NMP project undertaken in the late 1980s. This survey was sketch-mapped using NMP conventions and was misidentified as a mound where the loose stipple for a large macula cropmarks has been mistaken for the compact stipple used for positive features such as banks and mounds.(1)
