Monument record TQ 77 SW 1159 - The cropmark remains of a possible Bronze Age round barrow visible as a arc of ditch c.28m in length
Summary
The cropmark remains of a possible Bronze Age round barrow visible as a arc of ditch c.28m in length. This possible barrow appears to be one of three adjacent barrows which lie immediately to the north-east and south-east of this site. To the north-east of these ring ditches are the fragmented cropmarks of a number of incomplete rectilinear enclosures, ditches and pits of a possible later prehistoric settlement. The ring ditches and surrounding features were all mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
