Extent of the village of Chilton as visible on the 2nd ed. OS map (1897-1900). (1)
There has been some growth between the 1st ed (1862-1875) and 2nd (1897-1900) OS maps, due to the building of terrace house south along the Pegwell Road between exciting buildings. Also linear development northwards, either side of Chilton Lane to Norman Road. (2)
