Barbed wire entanglements of Second World War date were visible as structures in RAF/HLA/380 STBD 906 15-DEC-1941 and RAF/106G/UK/1378 FV 7047 04-APR-1946.

The earliest structure enclosed the western, southern and eastern sides of Chain Home Low Station CHL03B, with the sea cliff defending the north side. Three lengths of barbed wire were arranged in arcs as settings for features such as pillboxes. A sub-rectangular area to the west side of the Chain Home Low Station was enclosed by an additional barbed wire entanglement later in the war.

These features were recorded as demolished structures in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-3)
