Full Description
Part of a rectilinear enclosure of uncertain date north of Nethercourt, Ramsgate visible as cropmarks and mapped from: Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 21-APR-2007 and EARTH.GOOGLE.COM MAR-2022. ACCESSED 28-FEB-2024. The site appears the fragmented remains of three sides of an elongated enclosure 34.5m x at least 88m which is cut W-E by the Manston Road. A second parallel ditch is visible on the inner side of the eastern ditch. This may be a settlement enclosure dating from the Iron Age, Roman or medieval periods. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024 (1-2)
