Full Description
TQ 61335955. A late Medieval bronze belt fitting was found at Yew Tree Cottage on 8th April, 1973. Such fittings are dated by Dr.W Perkins (2) to the period c.1390-1410. A bronze hook of the kind commonly used to link into the suspension ring of the sword was discovered at the same spot on 15th April 1973. (1)(2)
