Full Description

A Historic Building Record was carried out for the development site of the Cottage, Chalk, Gravesend prior to demolition and redevelopment of the area. Map regression revealed that the structure was constructed at some time from 1840 to 1875, and that the land it was built on belonged to West Court. The cottage was probably built for a chief estate worker on the West Court Estate, and was typical late 19th century construction. (1)
