Full Description
The fragmented cropmark remains of a sub-divided rectilinear enclosure, possibly part of a settlement or field system of uncertain date seen at TQ 6903 7289 amongst the cropmark remains of a Bronze Age barrow cemetery (NMR Monument: 413757). The enclosure ditches are straight. The northern ditch can be traced for 40m and what can be seen of the rest of the enclosure indicates it is 50m across (north-south). This site and the barrow cemetery were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
