Full Description
Dew pond (or sole pond), visible on 1st and 2nd edition OS map. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project.
Preservation:Pond on historic maps, no longer exists and unable to be restored
Pond shape:Rectangular
Site type: Dew pond (or sole pond)
Description: Almost rectangular shaped pond to the south of farmstead on 1st and 2nd edition OS maps and adjacent to an oasthouse. Pond disappears from OS 1907-1923 map. Hard to make out on 1m LiDAR. now encircled by modern farm buildings and a trackway.
