A borehole survey was carried out at the site in 2025 in advance of proposed restoration works. A single borehole was drilled at the site which reached up to 0.4m in depth. The deposit sequence consisted of a single deposit comprising the sandy silt backfill of the pond with frequent roof tile inclusions. Abundant tile, chalk, flint, and heavy rooting restricted the depth to which the borehole could be drilled. (2)
