Dew pond (or sole pond), visible on 1st and 2nd edition OS map. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project.
Preservation:Whole pond clearly visible on current OS/LIDAR

Site type: Dew pond (or sole pond)
Description: A small square pond along a field boundary to the east of Stelling Lodge farmstead. Seen on 1st, 2nd and modern OS plus 1m LiDAR, although the modern OS shows it to be much larger. Aerial photos show it's still present, but not in a good condition.
