Dew pond (or sole pond), visible on 1st and 2nd edition OS map. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project.
Preservation:Whole pond clearly visible on current OS/LIDAR
Pond shape:Circular/oval
Site type: Dew pond (or sole pond)
Description: Round feature remains on LIDAR (not on OS). Seen on Ed 2 OS but not 1. Very circular with 2 rectangular features (raised platforms?) abutting at either end. Seems to be associated with the old Waltham Court Workhouse.
