Full Description
Duck pond, visible on 1st and 2nd edition OS map. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project.
Preservation:Pond on historic maps but not visible on current OS (ghost pond)
Pond shape:Circular/oval
Site type: Duck pond
Description: Seems to have been a duck pond in a farmyard, now filled in but clear of buildings, vegetation etc, next to public road. Seems capable of recovery. From aerial photography it has not held water since before 1940.
