Summary
Pond, visible on 1st and 2nd edition OS map. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project. The pond is located within the landscape surrounding West Heath School, Sevenoaks (TQ 55 SW 1). The record for West Heath School landscape includes mention of several 16th hammer ponds located at the site, some of which have been used for bog planting. As the only pond feature visible on historic mapping at the site, this may have originally been one of the hammer ponds.
