Name spelt as SIGN. Sank following collision with the steam hopper dredgers No.3 and No.6 of London; place of loss specified as Shornmead, Gravesend Reach. (3)

Built as MINNIE IRWINE for her first owners in West Hartlepool, 1872; thereafter sold into Norwegian service in 1896, changing hands in 1908.

Dimensions: 1041 tons gross, 652 net; 224.4 x 31.1 x 16.3 feet.

Foundered following collision with Port of London Authority Dredger No.3 off Gravesend. At the time she was en route from London to Grimsby in ballast. (4)
