Full Description
A series of circular cropmarks possibly indicating the site of roundhouses and enclosures were identified during a 2009 desk-based assessment at Hillborough, Herne Bay. The cropmarks were set within a landscape of prehistoric archaeological sites alongside other cropmarks thought to represent a droveway (TR 26 NW 1241). The comparison of the cropmark evidence with prehistoric remains recovered from another excavated site in the vicinity, suggest that these sites could be part of a wider landscape of prehistoric settlement.
