Full Description
An assemblage of later prehistoric worked flint was identified on land east of Nackington Road, Canterbury during an evaluation and watching brief in 2018. The flint was dated to the Mesolithic and later prehistoric periods, and is considered to be largely residual in nature. The assemblage had a total weight of 770g and comprised seven flakes (one of which dated between the Mesolithic-Early Bronze Age, whilst the other flakes dated to the Middle Neolithic-Late Bronze Age period), two multiplatform flake cores, and a core face/edge rejuvenation flake dating to before the Middle Bronze Age period.
