Full Description
Assembly Rooms/ Drill Hall, Preston Street, Faversham as shown on the Heritage Tithe map 1837-58 and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Edition O/S maps. The building is still in use as shown on the current O/S map. The present building was built in 1849 after a fire in 1848 destroyed an earlier building dating from 1830. In 1869 the rooms were hired out for military purposes. Following the sale of the building in 2011 and subsequent renovation works, the Rooms are now available for public and private use.
