Full Description
A post-medieval quarry was identified during a watching brief at Iffin Meadow Farm, Chartham, carried out in 2021. The feature was 18m across and contained fragments of brick and tile within its fill. The quarry is known to have existed prior to the creation of the 1st edition OS map (1862-1875) and was still in use during the 1960s. (1)
