Full Description
Second world War Standby Set House [Building No.260], Detliong Airfield. The building used to house the airfield’s emergency electrical generator. A 2024 survey described the structure as "Standby Set House [Building No.260]. Detling Aerodrome Industrial Estate. A building used to house the airfield’s emergency electrical generator. Originally surrounded by a blast wall which no longer survives. The building’s original cladding was removed many years ago leaving just the steel framework. It was reclad a few ago and brought back into use as a store. Condition: Basic steel framework sound. Recently reclad and now in very good condition" (1)
