Full Description
Second World War air-raid Shelter, Detling Airfield. In a small copse on farmland to the west of the Detling Aerodrome Industrial Estate. A 2024 survey described it as "Air-raid shelter not identified on airfield Record Site Plan. Possibly a ‘Stanton’-type shelter. Underground shelter with its surface entrance demolished but entrance shaft still just accessible . Surface entrance structure demolished, Entrance shat exposed. Interior appears to be in good condition. " (1)
