Full Description
A German mine-laying submarine, the UC-9 was reported to have been lost on June 10, 1915 in the vicinity of the Long Sand light vessel, when she probably struck one of her own laid mines. The publication U-Boats Destroyed suggests that the UC-9 was lost sometime between October 22 and November 11, 1915.
