Summary
Mill pond and fishpond. Visible on 1st and 2nd edition OS maps. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project. This pond is potentially associated with Darent Mill (TQ 45 SW 262) to the north east. The feature is labelled as 'fish pond' on the 3rd and 4th edition OS maps but is also visible as a pond on the Heritage Tithe Map and 1st and 2nd edition OS maps, suggesting its function could have changed over time. The pond (TQ 45 SW 238) directly to the east was originally part of the same pond as this one.
