Dew pond (or sole pond). Visible on 1st and 2nd edition OS maps.. Recorded during 2024 Kent Downs National Landscape Historic Ponds project.
Preservation: Pond now faintly visible on current OS/LIDAR
Pond shape: Circular/oval
Site type :Dew pond (or sole pond)
Description :Large pond close to Bushy Wood. Seen on all OS maps, but aerial photo shows it is in poor condition and likely to dry out every summer. Only a small amount of the pond is now left. Clear on 1m LiDAR as it's original size.
