Full Description
Two post-medieval chalk pits are visible on the 1st edition (1862-1875) and 2nd edition (1897-1900) OS maps at Kingston, Canterbury. One of the pits is labelled "Old Chalk Pit" on the 1st edition OS map, suggesting one or both of the features could have originated before the 19th century. (1, 2)
