Full Description

A Second World War gun emplacement in the form of a slit trench and small structure seen as an earthwork on the cliff-top at South Cliff (TR 3970 6676), north of Dumpton Gap. Immediately to the west was a line of barbed wire extending from Western Elsplande to the cliff edge. These were mapped as part of the Historic England: Ramsgate HAZ project from RAF aerial photographs taken in 1942. (1)
