Full Description

A single square structure, probably a Second World War Type 26 pillbox located on the north-eastern edge of St Augustine's Park which has now been infilled and developed. The pillbox was part of the defences associated with a Chain Home installation (NRHE 1477755) located within the park. These remains were visible on aerial photographs taken in February 1941 and January 1946. (1-2)
