Full Description

A possible Second World War gun emplacement or searchlight battery at TR 3562 6450, part of the coast defences between Cliffsend and Ramsgate visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and mapped as part of the Historic England: Ramsgate HAZ project. Earlier in the war the site was occupied by a more substantial gun emplacement or searchlight battery with a single support building and smaller gun emplacement to the south visible on photographs taken in 1941. This phase has been recorded separately. (1)
